10 Best Dressed Men at the Met Gala 2021

If you don’t know what the Met Gala is, well it is a black-tie extravaganza for fund raising for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, it is also widely called “the Oscars of fashion”. The Met Gala is the event where all fashion rules pretty much go out the window. It is the event where risk takers get to show their creativity, though few and far between. The earlier years of the Met Gala saw men dress according to the traditional conventional dress code- tuxedos and classic suiting.

Met Gala attendees get to make bold, spirited announcements about audacity and glamour by not holding back and showing extreme versions of their already full-on personalities. The Met Gala has given us iconic looks over the years, looks that not only totally embraced extremity and individuality but redefined fashion completely. The surge of men expeditiously moving from the classic, usually boring red carpet looks to the more bold, experimental looks is something to behold. We sure cannot forget when Marc Jacobs said “I just didn’t wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring,” when he was explaining his rationale for wearing a lace dress by Comme des Garçons in 2012 over boxer shorts, neither can we forget Billy Porter’s iconic and memorable Met Gala entrance on a litter carried by six shirtless men while wearing a custom “Sun God” ensemble, by The Blonds featuring a bejeweled catsuit outfitted with 10-foot wings and a 24-karat gold headpiece.

For this list, we are looking at the most stylish, unique looks at the Met Gala this year which based this year’s theme on “American Independence”. Here are our ten best dressed men at the Met Gala 2021.
