Top 5 Amazing Places To Vacation In Africa

The travel industry hasn’t exactly experienced a boom in recent times, as the pandemic hit this industry probably the most. This setback will not stop us from appreciating certain beautiful parts of Africa for exquisite vacationing.
So, if you are looking for where to go on vacation once the world returns to normal, here are the five places in Africa to include in your travel destinations list.

Rwanda

Rwanda is a luscious East African country with a green, mountainous landscape. If you are into nature and hiking, then you would love the country’s renowned Volcanoes National Park, which houses mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. You could visit the Nyungwe National Park, with ancient montane rainforest that’s a habitat for chimpanzees and other primates.

The country is rife with tons of wildlife, lakes and forests and they are all safe for travels and adventure, so you and your friends will be occupied for quite some time. You could also visit the country’s Ethnographic Museum if you are into the Arts, there are the Musanze Caves, The Caplaki Craft Village, and many more. Also, the Columbus Monkey and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park is a great place to be. Visit the Lake Kivu, a part of the Great Rift Valley that borders Rwanda & DR Congo.

Kenya

Kenya is a beautiful country and quite modern in its own ways. It is the home country of American actress, Lupita Nyong’o and has served as location for a number of African-set Hollywood movies. Kenya is in East Africa and sits at the coastline of the Indian Ocean. You can visit the Diani Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Also, the Mahali Mzuri is packed with amazing wildlife, scenic landscape and great ambience.

Lamu Island is another spot to touch if you find yourself in Kenya and of course, The Great Rift Valley is the top tourist attraction in Kenya. There are many more places, like Mount Kenya, Uhuru Gardens, Giraffe Manor, The Coral Gardens of Wasini, Hell’s Gate National Park, among others.

Ethiopia is a rugged, landlocked country split by the Great Rift Valley. It is great for arts and history exploration. With archaeological finds dating back more than 3 million years, it’s a place of ancient culture. Among its important sites are Lalibela with its rock-cut Christian churches from the 12th–13th centuries. Aksum is the ruins of an ancient city with obelisks, tombs, castles and Our Lady Mary of Zion church. Plus the country is rife with very beautiful women… or so they say.

Seychelles

This island nation is great for a honeymoon. Even the name sounds attractive. The country is rich with beautiful structures and beaches that will make you forget you are still in Africa, as it houses 115 islands. Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar and about 1,600 km (994 mi) east of Kenya. Need we say more?

Mauritius

Mauritius is a part of the African continent geographically and is located in the Indian Ocean, but it has very little similarity to other African countries in relation to economy, geography, and demography. The nation is filled with replete with great beaches, lagoons, and reefs.

The mountainous interior includes Black River Gorges National Park, with rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails and wildlife like the flying fox. Capital Port Louis has sites such as the Champs de Mars horse track, Eureka plantation house and 18th-century Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens.
