Jada Pinkett Smith speaks out for the first time about the Will Smith Oscar slap

Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken out about her husband, Will Smith, and comedian Chris Rock’s infamous slap at the Oscars 2022, just a few weeks after the occurrence.

She expressed her optimism for “these two intelligent, capable men having an opportunity to heal, speak things out, and reconcile” on her Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk.

Will Smith had been offended by a joke about her alopecia areata made by Chris Rock. “Jada, I love you,” Rock stated onstage. ‘GI Jane 2,’ referring to her head and its resemblance to Demi Moore’s in the 1997 flick. Jada has always been upfront about her hair loss, which is caused by the autoimmune condition alopecia, which affects the hair follicles and causes both bald patches and hair loss.

“Love will make you do crazy things,” Smith stated while accepting his Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “King Richard,” apologizing to the audience and Oscar organizers.

She emphasized explicitly in this episode, which was dedicated to the hair loss illness, that the world needs them as one.

“Now, concerning Oscar night,” Jada Pinkett Smith said on Red Table Hash, “my greatest desire is that these two brilliant, talented guys have an opportunity to heal, talk things out, and reconcile.” “Given the status of the world today, we require both of them, and we all require one another now more than ever.”

“Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together.”

She continued, “Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories.”

Nicole Ball, the mother of a 12-year-old girl named Rio Allred who killed herself as a result of the bullying she suffered because of her disability, was one of many who reached out and was a guest.

Chris Rock originally made a joke about it at Dave Chappelle’s “Netflix is a joke” during his performance on stage at The Royal Albert Hall in London for his Ego Death comedy tour, which is now known as the “Will Smith Effect.”

Furthermore, his brother, Kenny, stated that he was ready to confront the King Richard actor in a boxing ring.
