Kanye West’s new album ‘’Donda 2’’ can only be listened to on his $200 Stem Player

Platform-exclusive content is one of the most effective methods to boost hardware sales, and Ye, a.k.a. Kanye West, revealed on Instagram that his next album, Donda 2, “will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player.” “It’s not available on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, or YouTube.”

This gizmo, which looks like something out of an 80s sci-fi B-movie, is the only (official) way to listen to Ye’s new album, Donda 2. Donda 2 will come pre-installed on the $200 Stem Player. Last year, the device was designed in collaboration with Kano Computing to coincide with Ye’s first Donda album. Those lights aren’t just for show; they’re sliders that let you change the pitch of a song as it’s playing.

You have complete control over the vocals, drums, bass, and samples, as well as the ability to isolate parts of the song and apply effects. It also includes four-channel lossless audio mixing, real-time looping and speed controls, as well as haptic effects, making it a pocket-sized mixing console.

While Ye’s reasoning differs from those of other musicians who have lately spoken out about Spotify’s Joe Rogan predicament and the disparity between his $200 million agreement and what it pays them, the end result is the same. “Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”

The album will be released on Tuesday, February 22nd.

But this isn’t Ye’s first foray into the world of limited-edition music. He was previously signed to Tidal, which was the only place where his 2016 album Life of Pablo could be purchased. It was till it wasn’t. Despite claims that it would never be available on Apple, Life of Pablo was released two months later on Apple Music.

Kanye West’s contract with Tidal was canceled in 2017, according to TMZ, due to a dispute over millions of cash he claimed the firm owed him. It also stated that he would be “done with exclusives,” according to sources.
