Genevieve Nnaji, the leading woman of Nollywood, has denied the notion that she is being treated in a US facility for mental illness.
The ‘Lionheart’ actress posted a video of herself drawing a picture to demonstrate that her mental health is on par with anyone cognitively capable of engaging in intelligent conversation.
The rumour grew after the actress removed all of her Instagram postings and unfollowed everyone on her profile.
While the rumour of mental illness may not be entirely genuine, the actress appears to be suffering from something serious.
Stella Dimoko Korkus, a close friend and blogger, verified in an Instagram post that the actress is battling an illness.
“I was aware of the medical situation that she was experiencing but decided to let it go till she was well,” she said.
Stella, enraged at the nurse who allegedly leaked the information that the actress is being treated for mental illness, pleaded with everyone to pray for her.
“Nollywood actress Genevieve needs love and prayers to overcome what she’s going through and not the breaking news to allege that she’s down because of drugs overuse,” she writes.
Genevieve Nnaji is said to be suffering from a mental illness as a result of her drug misuse, according to rumors.
