KANYE WEST TO RETAIL EVERYTHING IN YEEZY SUPPLY STORES FOR $20

Due to his fallout with popular American clothing brand, GAP, Kanye is parting ways and ending his 10 year clothing deal with GAP, while starting a new journey in fashion as an independent designer. A day after terminating his contract with GAP and ending the YZY x GAP collaboration, Kanye filed five new trademark applications for his sunglasses, YZY SHDZ, which was meant to be launched as part of the YZY x GAP collection.

Following the dissolution of his deal with GAP, Kanye also announced in an interview with Forbes, to make clothing more affordable while stating the YZY SHDZ will be sold for $20 alongside everything in Yeezy supply stores.

He stated “When it’s sold in America, it’ll be made in America, and when it’s sold in China, it’ll be manufactured in China,” he said. “So the glasses will cost $20, and everything in the Ye Supply store will be $20. And, we’re working on how to make clothing free. Because life is free.”

It’s still unsure to the public if the new price tag on Yeezy products as stated by Kanye will be in effect, seeing he made the same statement about the Yeezy foam runner back in 2020 in an interview with CNBC as he revealed wanting to sell the popular footwear at a low price point.

Kanye also expressed frustrations over his partnership with German Sportswear brand, Adidas, as the brand has set some restrictions due to Kanye’s venture into fashion as an independent designer amid his ended partnership with GAP.

“Welp I guess the war’s not over,” he said alongside a screenshot of a drafted document that stated in part that “neither Yeezy nor Ye may use, wear, sponsor, promote, market, advertise, endorse, design, manufacture, license, sell, or provide consulting services with respect to any of the following products under the Yeezy Trademarks or Ye’s likeness or any other identifiable attribute, feature, or indica of Ye.”
