Kendrick Lamar to release new album ‘’Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers in May

Kendrick Lamar has been silent for at least two years, and some of his critics have speculated that he is retiring, but it appears like the Pulitzer Prize-winning artist will return next month with the release of a new album.

Suddenly appearing on the scene

According to a short press statement, Lamar’s fans will soon be able to learn about his latest project, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,” which will be ready on May 13 if all goes according to plan.

“DAMN” was Lamar’s full-length album project, which won him a Grammy in 2017. The song was released just days before the musician headlined the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

The album’s widespread success earned him a Pulitzer Prize and special mention at Variety’s inaugural Hitmakers event.

Following that, Kendrick Lamar contributed many songs to the Black Panther soundtrack, including All the Stars, which he sang with SZA.

Dedicated to his work

Since then, all that was known was that the Californian performer was concentrating on his company pgLang, which he co-founded with Dave Free.

Lamar gave a theatrical performance in person in November, when he gave a recital of his musical career from Section.80 to DAMN at Day N Vegas.

It’s worth noting that, at 34, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of his generation, as well as one of the best rappers and songwriters of his generation, so declaring him retired is probably more of a bait and switch tactic in the hopes that he’ll keep making music.

In this way, the question of the musical quality of his new studio work will be answered in a few days.

There have even been a few false alarms, such as his record company TDE igniting a social media frenzy last summer, which turned out to be a tease for the Isaiah Rashad album. Lamar revealed his long-awaited upcoming album through a minimalistic fax page, identical to the one Michael Jordan used to announce his retirement and return to the music world in March 1995, as several admirers pointed out on social media.

According to insiders, if “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” turns out to be Lamar’s long-awaited fifth complete album, it will be his last with TDE.
