Legalise – Mr. Eazi

Mr Eazi has been consistently updating his fans about the progress of an upcoming album for months now and they’re finally going to get what they’ve always wanted – a confirming single. The first song titled ‘Legalise’

For ‘Legalise’, Mr Eazi tapped Patricorel, whose work he was introduced to while recording for the album in Cotonou, Benin. While the track finds Eazi exposing his emotions as he celebrates his love for fiancee Temi Otedola, Patricorel’s painting by the same name simultaneously captures the intimacy of love, submission, vulnerability, and death’s finality.

Big Energy – Ladipoe

LadiPoe is back with another classic, and this time it’s a freestyle titled “Big Energy”. The Mavin Records rapper continuously reminds us why he was meant to be taking over as Nigeria’s next rap star.

This single is just yet another precursor to keep everyone anticipating his forthcoming project.

BAHD (Album) – Falz

Falz has released his highly anticipated fifth studio album titled ‘BAHD’. This new album, released under his self-owned record label, Bahd Guys Entertainment, comprises 12 tracks and features acts like Tiwa Savage, The Cavemen, BNXN, LAX, Chike, and new Mavin Records signee BoySpyce.

This new album departs from his usual socio-political undertones, settling instead for the comic and light-hearted themes for which the rapper first came to be known.

Something – Gyakie

Jackline Acheampong, Gyakie’s new single ‘Something’ is a follow up to her collaboration with Jux on their joint effort “I Love You.”, she put in lots of creative work for this one and it really shows off how diverse she can be with her music.

The trajectory is only upward for her music career and we’re all about seeing her blossom.

Numb – Marshmallow ft. Khalid

With a thumping beat and synth melodies, Marshmello sends us into his weekend with “Numb”. The new song has some sweet vocals from Khalid that provide more lightness to this heavy electronic track.

Whether you’re kicking back and listening to some old classics or checking out the latest releases on our New Music Friday, make sure to update your playlist and get groovy this weekend. As always, thanks for reading.
