Top tourist attractions you need to visit in Nigeria

There’s no denying it: the country is massive, which means there are a plethora of tourist attractions in Nigeria. And, despite the cynics’ claims that size doesn’t matter, you realize that in West Africa, where just a few kilometers separates one intriguing ethnic group from another, or when crossing the Obudu Plateau separates Guinean savannah grasses from luscious tropical rainforest, it does! The idea is that Nigeria is a multi-colored and multi-religious country.

Whether you’re visiting for a short time or have a residency card in the works, Nigeria has a plethora of things to offer travelers. And, because you can’t truly know a place until you go through it, here are some must-see sights around Nigeria that you should not miss.

Nigeria’s personality alters and transforms almost as gracefully as a white-throated monkey swings between the jungle’s branches. It has Abuja’s massive sprawl, which is one of the world’s fastest growing urban centers. Then there’s Lagos, with a population of 17.5 million people who yet find time to relax on the Atlantic beaches. The tourist attractions in Nigeria include

1. Olumo rock

Any trip to Abeokuta would be incomplete without a stop at Olumo Rock, the city’s “fortress.” It’s no surprise that this rock sits in Abeokuta, as the name?Abeokuta? means?under the rock,? and the city has long been a popular tourist destination in Nigeria. Since the 19th century, Olumo Rock has acted as a fortification and a rock of offense for the people of Egba Land. Natural tunnels, peculiar trees, natural cantilevers, gardens on the rock, broken walkways, memorials to the religious system of the rock’s primeval settlers, and other attractions may be found at Olumo Rock. You don’t want to miss out on these sights, do you?

Various animal species, including the olive baboon, patas monkey, roan antelope, and western hartebeest, can be found in their natural habitats at the Reserve.

After a day of visiting the reserve and marveling at the animals, visit the Wikki Warm Spring. If you don’t have a chance to experience the warmth of spring in the Yankari Game Reserve, you’re missing out.
