ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED (UX325) Review: Low- cost OLED display ultrabook

The main characteristic of this ZenBook series, as the name suggests, is its OLED screen. With the ZenBook 13 OLED, Asus has nailed what an ultrabook should be in 2021. (UX325).

An ultrabook with a long battery life is quite rare. Batteries that aren’t as powerful are a trade-off for ultra-portability, but the ZenBook 13 OLED goes a little too far in that direction.

The ZenBook 13 OLED (UX325), like all other ASUS OLED display laptops, is PANTONE® verified for exceptional colour accuracy and features a cinema-grade 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.

Colours are reproduced with exceptional real-life realism for professional-grade images, making the laptop ideal for professional and creative work, as well as anyone who simply wants to experience the highest level of colour fidelity.

When compared to LCD screens, the UX325’s display uses organic light-emitting chemicals that naturally lower harmful blue light by up to 70%, making it extra friendly on your eyes and reducing the risk of retinal damage.

Sophisticated Finish on the ZenBook 13 OLED

The ZenBook 13 OLED’s chassis and lids are built of diamond-cut aluminium alloy, just as all other Asus ZenBooks. The lids have a unique concentric-circle ZenBook finish that is both calming and classy in appearance.

The ZenBook 13 OLED is a lightweight laptop that weighs 1.14 kg and has a side profile of 13.9 mm, resulting in a slim form factor for mobile use.

The ZenBook 13 OLED is available in two colour schemes from ASUS: Pine Grey and Lilac Mist. Lilac Mist is bright and light, whereas Pine Grey has a reserved and peaceful aspect.

Display Performance

The ZenBook 13 OLED (UX325) boasts a 13.3-inch OLED HDR display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a response time of 0.2 milliseconds.

The display has a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, which is extensively utilised in the motion picture industry and has been PANTONE® Validated for the most exact colour accuracy.

A 2D colour-gamut diagram that depicts how colours are faithfully reproduced, but only at a specific brightness level, is commonly used to represent colour accuracy.

With TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light and flicker-free pictures, the Asus ZenBook 13 OLED display also regulates the blue-light ratio to lower potentially dangerous emissions up to 70% less than regular LCD, providing superior eye care even after several hours of usage.

Because children’s eyes are not fully developed, The OLED screen of the UX325 makes it a friendly laptop for children as damaging blue light can penetrate the eye more easily with a more translucent lens and cornea, thereby causing premature retinal ageing. The much lower blue light levels on ASUS OLED panels guarantee better eye care for children.

Computing Performance

The ZenBook 13 OLED features 11th generation Intel® CoreTM CPUs, up to 32 GB of memory, a 1TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD, Thunderbolt 4, standard HDMI 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a microSD card reader, as well as thin and light form factors. All of these choices provide complete connectivity.

The latest 11th Generation Intel® CoreTM processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics provide improved compute performance and can enable FHD gameplay at up to 60 frames per second with better battery life and mobility than ever conceived.

Extra Features

Wi-Fi master technology and Wi-Fi 6 ensure lightning-fast downloads, seamless streaming, increased range, and highly stable network connections. Wi-Fi SmartConnect allows your laptop to automatically connect to the router that provides the greatest signal in your present location.

It also remembers which mobile hotspots you use and gives them priority when the network is found.

A NumberPad 2.0 is included, as well as an edge-to-edge keyboard with independent function keys. The MIL-STD 810G military-grade NumberPad 2.0 is made of an ultra-light yet sturdy aluminium alloy that helps assure durability, and the MIL-STD 810G standard has been tested to ensure strength and stability.

The battery life on the Asus ZenBook 13 is good, and it charges quickly. When fully charged, the battery may last up to 13 hours without causing any lag or poor performance. In addition, the laptop has a fast charge feature that can charge the battery from 2% to 60% in just 49 minutes.
