MTV REVEALS HOSTS AND PERFORMERS FOR THE 2022 VMAs

The MTV Video Music Awards scheduled to air on the 28th of August 2022, has finally revealed its host line up for the ceremony. The show will be hosted by three of music’s biggest rappers, which also includes the recipient of the 2022 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. 

Legendary Rapper, LL Cool J, The Queen of Rap, and recipient of Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Nicki Minaj, and Grammy Nominated Rapper, Jack Harlow, are set to share hosting duties at the star studded 2022 MTV VMAs. 

BLACKPINK, Lizzo, Jack Harlow, Nicki Minaj, Måneskin, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, and Kane Brown, all join the performance line up for the 2022 VMAs. 

Kane Brown who is a country artist, will be making history as the first male country artist to perform on the VMA stage. He will be performing his recent song “Grand” which leans away from his country sound and falls on the pop and hip hop genre. He revealed in an interview with Audacy, “I’ve always been so scared to step out and just do the Pop thing. If you listen to a lot of my [songs], they still have that Country vein… this one doesn’t,” Brown said. “Now, I’m not scared, I feel like I am who I am now, just being comfortable with myself.”

The show which will be live on the 28th of August 2022, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey will be available to watch on the MTV network, The CW, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand, and VH1.
